This December step into a 19th Century Victorian wonderland at Cate Farms and experience the holiday season the way Charles Dickens imagined it as we host “A Dickens of a Christmas.” Immerse yourself in the heartwarming world of Dickens’ beloved story as Emmy wiuner, Keith Cate  presents his mesmerizing one-man show adaptation of “A Christmas Carol.”  Dressed in period costume, he takes the stage and embodies the essence of Dickens, transporting the audience back in time, giving life to Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, the ghosts of Christmas, and more from Dickens’ timeless prose. What makes the performance truly special is its unwavering commitment to the source material.  Cate’s adaptation is a faithful representation of the very words Charles Dickens himself performed during the 1800s.   You will experience the holiday classic as it was meant to be, and the intimate setting of our decorated barn creates an immersive experience for the audience.  Mark your calendar now for December 2nd and 3rd.  This one weekend only, limited- seating production will also feature holiday lights, carolers, live music and refreshments after the performance.  “A Dickens of a Christmas” at Cate Farms will kindle the holiday spirit within all who attend, providing a magical experience that is sure to become a cherished tradition.  This event is suitable for all ages, although because of the format and Victorian language we recommend it for ages 10 and up. 

Showtime, Christmas in the Country

Cate Farms presented an original holiday musical revue, “ShowTime Christmas in the Country” in 2022.  The family-friendly, hometown extravaganza captured the Spirit of Christmas on a working cattle farm in the heart of Tri-Cities, Tennessee.
